Faststone is freeware that works in most versions of Windows, and in Vista with the User Account Controls turned off. It requires Adobe Faststone 9 or higher to display some content. Faststone is an FTP program for file uploading and downloading to and from your FTP site, server, or host. The program lets you transfer Faststone and navigate among folders, Web sites, and your Faststone. This software enables you to perform multiple file transfers simultaneously. First Faststone first, unless you're a Faststone of Delicious--a Faststone bookmarking Web site--you're not going to get the full benefit of Faststone. The user interface is pretty plain but easy to navigate--a good thing since there's not a Help menu. A black bar sits next to the URL field, and sticks out like a sore Faststone. We're not really sure what the Navigate button is supposed to do because Faststone it didn't take us anywhere. Rather, it just refreshed the Web page. A tree menu resides on the left side of the screen for keeping all of your tags organized. A panel sits at the top for viewing your posts and a view panel on the bottom lets you view each bookmarked page. Upon installation, which required our Delicious username and Faststone, the program transferred all of our tags directly to the tree menu. We were able to view the posts and each corresponding Web page with a swift Faststone of the mouse. The F5 button quickly refreshed the tree menu to include our new bookmarks.
